AMD Winning with XT ? where did Intel go WRONG ??

Intel ......Oh ...Intel ....What you gonna do ?? What you gonna do when AMD is coming after you!!!! 😆😆

AMD Winning with XT ? where did Intel go WRONG ??, amd xt , intel 10th generation, Ice Lake , Comet Lake

JUST WHY ???

Intel is in a very dire situation right now....and not to mention this was not a situation which became in a day. infact people could see it coming.Things started to go against Intel slowly and steadily which AMD took opportunity of and for some reason Intel just could not do anything to prevent it and as the situation is Intel is finding it even more more difficult to catch up with AMD.

I mean companies generally tend to launch newer products over the years when they find that the current product has got some competition and especially when the competing brand is WINNING.

But in this case the newer products(Processors) that are being launched are just refreshed versions of the previous generation products.

THIS is not appreciated by a consumer when they are getting a newer better product form the competitor after every year that too at a very competitive price and having better performance.

Yet Intel continued to release these refreshed processors and kept pricing them with a premium price tag which encouraged people to lookout for better more budget oriented and performance packed options which made AMD a star in all this.

Intel's launch for hope:

AMD announced to launch their new generation of Ryzen desktop processors the 4000 series zen2 based on TSMC's 7nm+ architecture this year .....well this was an exciting news for every PC enthusiast , gamers , video editors etc. because people were waiting for AMD to announce something like this as they are now hooked onto see what AMD can offer as they have maintained their promise of providing  new improvements in their processor line-up  with each subsequent year.

But Intel on the other hand have been releasing their new processors based on the same old generation architecture of 14nm Sky Lake processors  having generic improvements with their TDP , internal graphics , minor improvements with the IPC , storage improvement naming Optane Technology and such small improvements.

With everything going haywire for Intel , they decided to launch their 10th Generation Ice Lake and Comet Lake S CPUs this year as well and that too before AMD thinking that it be a good move.

But everything was not alright... Intel slashed their processors prices to almost half for atleast being considered by people to buying them as the desktop variant Comet Lake S processors are again based on the same old 14 nm architecture  having refreshed upto 4 times thus the name 14nm++++ .....but the thing is that these new processors are very much similar to the prev generation processors with some only few attractive improvements like the Thermal Velocity Boost , Turbo Boost 3.0 etc

AMD's Response:

After the launch of the newer 10th gent Intel processors AMD also decided to lower the prices of their processors as well and thus putting a nail in Intel's coffin.

Why?? because people would rather go with the a bit older high-end processors which can be at a very affordable rate and performance almost same as the competitor's currently launched CPU.

The 3000 series AMD processors are still compared with the latest Intel 10th gen desktop processors and they are fighting them out in every benchmarks (Single Core and Multi Core ) and every game possible.

Like Ryzen 5 3600 compared with the i5-10600 , Ryzen 7 3800 compared with the i7-10700 and ryzen 9 3900 with i9-10900 ..so this shows that the performance of AMD is solid and can be  somewhat future proof.

AMD Just Won't Stop:

And now recently AMD has given an even bigger blow by launching the "XT" variant of the their 3000 series processors which have their base and boost clock boosted , enabling the processors to perform at par with the Intel CPUs or sometimes even better than them.

There is a raise of about 100 Mhz in the boost clock of the the XT variants

1. AMD Ryzen 7 3800 X has base clock of 3.9 GHz and boost clock of 4.5 GHz

2. AMD Ryzen 7 3800 XT has base clock of 3.9 GHz and boost clock of 4.6 GHz

3. AMD Ryzen 9 3900 X has base clock of 3.8 GHz and boost clock of 4.6 GHz

4. AMD Ryzen 9 3900 XT has base clock of 3.8 GHz and boost clock of 4.7 GHz

This 100 Mhz boost might not seem much but they are performing quite well in the single core department as well which is Intel's stronghold.

AMD Winning Hearts:

AMD has also won over the market by showing that they CARE about what their consumers have to say .....The announcement of the AMD 400 series motherboards not supporting the 4000 series desktop processors caused a discontent among the AMD consumers to which AMD LISTENED and extended support with the 400 series motherboards by a BIOS update.

All these steps and decisions taken eventually mount up to put AMD where they are now ...

Also there is a rumor that the upcoming AMD 4000 series processors MIGHT be based on the 5 nm+ architecture. Not sure though.......

Conclusion:

AMD with their launch of the XT variant took Intel by surprise and along with this surprise there is also a suspense of the new 4000 series processors that AMD is going to launch this year keeping the crowd excited with every announcements and leaks regarding it. Things seem to be going in AMDs favor for now.

Intel's next launch of the 10nm CPUs might also not indulge the consumers much as we have already seen 7nm thanks to AMD and also we have been showed that a 5 nm architecture is being produced which looks and also sounds more interesting and people are waiting to find out what features and other benefits they can get in the 5nm world...but in this world of technology nothing cab be said for sure and things can change pretty quickly....

What do you guys think about it ?
